Today we learn how to cook Ghost Salan. It is very easy to make at home and it is very tasty. You can have it with roti, naan, or plain rice. So let’s learn

Ingredients for Gosht Salan:

  • Mutton 250 gram
  • 2 Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Green chili
  • 1/2 cup coriander
  • 7 Black pepper
  • 4 Clove
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 2 Spoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili powder
  • ¼ tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • ½ tablespoon garam masala powder

Method of Making Gosht Salan:

  • First grind, ginger garlic paste, 2 green chillies and green coriander in a mixer,
  • Add oil in the heated pan, in the heated oil put all the garam masala (Black pepper, Clove, Bay leaves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Star Anise) stir for few seconds, now add chopped onions, and cook for 2-3 mins
  • Now add washed mutton in the pan and cook for 6-7 mins
  • Put grind mixer paste in it and cook for 2-3 mins
  • Now add 1 tablespoon red chili powder, ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, salt to taste.
  • Then add 2 glasses of water and cover the lid and let it cook on high flame
  • Take a look after 10 to 15 minutes water is gone and the oil will take up till now.
  • Now add half a glass of water or pour water according to the gravy's consistency and let it cook on slow flame for 5 mins.
  • Now turn off the gas and garnish it with chopped green coriander.

Gosht Salan is ready to serve. You can serve it with roti naan or plain rice.
